Ohio State Seniors Started A Business Unlike You’ve Ever Seen

I like beef jerky. People like beef jerky. People play video games. Why not put these two together and start a business? That’s exactly what Max and Zach Zitney did – seniors and twins attending Ohio State.

JerkyXP.com delivers fresh beef jerky to gamers around the world. The concept arose after a Business Builders Club meeting. The founders wanted people to get fresh jerky and have a chance to sit back and enjoy it’s tenderness and bold flavor. Gamers love snacking and tend to go on video game binges where they need a quick snack to power them through the last dungeon or make it to the 10th prestige in one night, this is where JerkyXP comes in handy.

Zack and Max wanted to prove that jerky does not have to be a store bought snack and that it can be bigger than that. Most people told them that trying to sell beef jerky online was never going to work and that the only way to do it was through convenient stores. They didn’t listen to them and wanted to prove that it could be done using social media. JerkyXP started back in March of 2014 with zero twitter followers and now 10 months later we have grown to 23k Twitter followers and have built a great community around gaming and beef jerky. The entire company is built around transparency, they answer every tweet and any questions or concerns that people have right there in the public forum of Twitter. They strive to be the most socially active company on all of social media. Also their dog Jack is the CEO of the company and his Twitter has 13k followers and helps with community outreach and he also posts a lot of pictures of himself, his twitter is @JackTheCEO.

The goals of JerkyXP are to continue being the most social company, delivering the best beef jerky to gamers from all over and building a great community of Twitter friends in the process.
